Evening everyone, sorry I’m just about to tuck into my supper. I thought I’d show you what a pizza looks like. I’ll make I post afterwards but you have to excuse because I have to eat my pizza hot. This pizza is called the Amalfitana and is made with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, rocket and smoked mozzarella. We always asked for a drizzle of chilli oil on top. If you can spot the one that’s got the olive that’s my one, as I don’t have smoked mozzarella because it’s a bit too salty from me. Excuse me while I eat. Buon Appetito!
Being married to a Neapolitan there’s only one way to eat your pizza and that’s with your hands (not your knife and fork!) Obviously, by the seaside when One can!
On the Amalfi Coast – this is our background 830 this evening whilst having supper. Perfect!
Here we are this evening at 8 o’clock in a tranny and it’s still 30°! Atrani is Italy’s smallest town, with only 900 inhabitants. We spend a lot of our summer in a tranny as it’s where we go to the beach every day. I’m Amalfi is beautiful but during the height of the summer it’s chaotic!
Whereas Atrani is quaint. We have made lots of friends over the years and feel extremely at home. It has always been my husband’s favourite place on the Amalfi Coast and that’s why we choose to spend most of our holiday here.
The second picture is ceramic picture that was done by local artist to commemorate the town and the young girl who died in the mud slide, back in 2010. Sadly her body wasn’t found until months after, it was washed up and found as far away in Sicily. Although sad, the ceramic picture is quite beautifully moving. I need last week of rest but not arena was washed up by the sea from the mudslide (I’ve chose not to include the picture as it’s too sad.
The last picture is a vibrant up-to-date ceramic picture of a different type of fishes that can be found around the Atrani seas.
