🇮🇹Day 15
This gorgeous treat is called a “Pasticiotto,” and I wish someone would hurry up and invent smellavision! 📺
This little mouthwatering cake is only available in southern Italy and the best ones are to be had at the Panza Pasticeria in the centre of Amalfi, next door to the San. Andrea Cathedral 😋
Best time to go and eat one is after Mass on a Sunday evening at 7 o’clock. As you walk down the cathedral steps, they would have just come out of the oven next door and the smell is just divine😇
As you bite into this delicacy, your mouth is first filled with a light shortcrust pastry, that then crumbles and melts away. Then, you taste and enjoy the delicious creama pasticera, finally ending with a juicy amarena cherry. Absolutely Scrumptious 🍒
